SOC's Home Care Services will assist residents with all manner of home care and are not limited to just seniors. |
Home Repair
Home Repair is a federally funded program that assists senior and disabled residents of the five Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods with both large and small repairs at reasonable rates.  Help is available for a wide variety of repairs including electrical, plumbing, mechanical and general home maintenance. Licensed and insured contractors are used for both supplemented and non-supplemented programs. Home repair help is available no matter what your income. Our non-supplemented program offers the same licensed, insured contractors to assist in maintaining your home. When necessary, bids will be obtained to insure competitive pricing. Housing Rehab
 Housing Rehabilitation is also a federally funded program that provides major repairs and replacements (roofs, furnaces, windows and more). This program, serving the residents of the five Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods, is not limited to seniors. Qualified applicants are able to finance repairs through a zero percent interest deferred loan.

Snow Removal
Our service guidelines provide for snow removal from the driveway and
walkways when snowfall reaches two inches or deeper. When the amount of snowfall is in question, removal will be at the discretion of the coordinator. The contractor has 24 hours after the snow stops falling for removal. If you are interested in being part of this program, you must call to receive a sign up packet. Once we have your signed authorization, we
will place your name on the snow removal list. We cannot offer snow removal service without this authorization. If you have any questions, please call Diane at 313.882.9600 ext. 251. |
