Fun, Friendship
and Exercise

There's nothing quite as nice as a friend who shares your laughter, wishes, secrets, and concerns. And it's amazing how many friendships begin right here at SOC. Fun and Friendship hosts wonderful regular weekly, monthly, and holiday events year 'round.

You can find specific times and days for all of these activities listed on our Calendar page. Below are descriptions of just some of the fun activities that SOC offers. For further information email socfoodandfriendship@yahoo.com or call Susan Kopf at 313.882.9600, Ext. 242.

Luncheons
Hot meals are served Monday through Friday, except Thursday, to seniors who want fellowship and a tasty, wholesome lunch. A special part of our luncheons is our 'lunch and learn' program. Seniors can enjoy a lunch and also learn about a senior related topic. Please see our Events page for upcoming lunch and learn opportunities.

Trips
Join SOC on carefree weekly group outings that depart from SOC via PAATS bus transportation to restaurants, museums, theaters, senior retirement facilities, tours, shopping malls and more! Services for Older Citizens offers trips every Thursday with an occasional trip planned on other days, too.

You must pre-register and pay for the trips. Please see our Calendar to view upcoming trips. You can also see trip descriptions inside our SOC Communicator and on our Events page.

Movies
Come and enjoy a fun lunch consisting of pizza, salad, desert, drinks and a box lunch to take home. Then sit back, relax and watch a great movie among friends. Reservations are required. Please call 313.882.9600. There is a $5.00 charge for these events. Please see our Calendar or Events page to check the upcoming movie dates.
